Kunal Sawarkar
Co-Founder & CEO | Chief AI Scientist
Kunal Sawarkar is the Co-Founder and CEO of AIntropy AI. Previously, he served as a Distinguished Engineer for Gen AI and Chief AI Scientist at IBM, leading Enterprise AI to convert research into revenue-making products. He has founded and led multiple Applied AI labs as an in-house entrepreneur. He is an AI researcher, inventor, and industry leader, holding over 23 patents and authoring a book in the field, and his recent papers in enterprise search set the new benchmark for accuracy. Kunal earned his Master's degree from Harvard University, specializing in Applied Statistics, where he pioneered pre-LLM work in Generative AI. Outside of work, Kunal is an active angel investor, mentor, and when not diving with data, he pursues his passions for rock climbing, flying, and wildlife.
Nirmit Desai
Co-Founder & CTO
Dr. Nirmit Desai is the Co-Founder and CTO at AIntropy AI, where he drives foundational innovation as well as product development. He has two decades of industry R&D experience at IBM Research, most recently as the Director of Data and Tools for AI Models, building IBM's Granite Opensource SLMs. Nirmit has a PhD and a Masters in Computer Science from North Carolina State University (NCSU), USA. He has more than 30 patents to his name and has published more than 80 research papers in the areas of distributed computing and AI. At IBM, he built Flu risk predictions (2020) and Mesh Network Alerts (2018) in the Weather Company platforms, and Simulcastr video streaming at the US Tennis Open in 2015, reaching millions of users.
Kevin Park
AI Research Scientist
Kevin Park is an AI Research Scientist at AIntropy AI. Kevin is trained at Princeton University in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Statistics as well as Robotics. He has strong experience working on applied ML/RL systems and robotic simulations in various academic labs. He also has industry experience developing vision pipelines and multi-agent systems.
Dongkon Lee
AI Research Scientist
Dongkon Lee is an AI Research Scientist at AIntropy AI. He is trained at Princeton University, working on high-precision RAG architectures and search optimization. At Princeton, he researches neuronal computing and new biological computing paradigms. Previously, he's worked as a Researcher for the Princeton Neuroscience Institute, Columbia University Medical Center and Kulite Semiconductor.
Eric Song
AI Research Scientist
Eric Song is an AI Research Scientist at AIntropy AI and hails from Yale University. His focus is on electrical engineering with prior research work in cybersecurity that won recognition by the National Security Agency for its novel approach in defending against ransomware. He also conducted research on image segmentation and ML data processing for landslide detection. In his free time, Eric enjoys writing, having numerous published articles, stories, and a journalism accolade under his belt.
